My Story

Hi, I’m Nick. Thank you for stopping by to get to know about us!

The story begins back in 2016, I was a chef in a countryside Chinese Take Away in Ireland with a hobby of building plastic model kits.

Since Ireland has very limited resources for this hobby so I started to tier my head to online shopping.

Besides that, I love to spend time visiting forums, watching tutorials, and eventually, I get to know about resin kits and fall in love with the details of them.

Like everyone else, I just couldn’t stop myself from spending 80% of my salary to buy every one of them and ship them overseas to Ireland.

The more I do so, I started to realize that many people are facing the same struggles as I did – wanted to get the latest kits but always ended up lack of resources to get them. Or worst…

• Having a language barrier when making a purchase
• Failed to make a claim for the replacement of missing/destroyed parts
• Lack of support when things happened

With this in mind, I started to look for ways to better help myself and others to get their favorite kits, tools and accessories online while I was seasoning the chicken wings (in the picture on the right).

The Begins Of Museigen Hobby

After countless research, there are just very limited resources and information about resin kits or any related merchandise where you can get your favorite kits and tools easily.

Therefore, I started to think about, what if I create a place where everyone could visit and get their hands on their favorite kits, tools, and accessories with ease!

From there, I started to learn about building a website named Museigen Hobby. It means “limitless” in Japanese as this is what I’m believing in this hobby, creation is everything!

Imperfectly, MuseigenHobby.com officially launched in 2017 with my broken English and less than 50 types of products listed.

Without a doubt, it wasn’t easy or even lucky. The ugly web-design and the poor product description are enough to scare people off. But thanks to all the active Gunpla fans for putting the trust in me and Museigen Hobby.

We grew our store up to 250+ varieties of kits, tools, and accessories. It couldn’t have happened without the support and honest feedback from our valued customers.
